Full color portfolio relating to Disney animation art. Includes releases on care & handling of cels, cels as collectibles, original newspaper comic art, and more. Also included are four Disney limited-edition art slides direct from the Disney studios. These slides are: 1) Snow White. Hand inked and hand painted by Disney artists using the traditional animation techniques of 1937. In this recreated scene Snow White pulls the bucket up from the wishing well and sings the song, "I'm Wishing." This original cel slide was created in an edition of only 275; 2) Bambi & Thumper are featured in this xerographic-line limited edition cel slide that captures a classic moment from the 1942 feature "Bambi." Xerographic-line cels are created by transferring the original animation drawing to the acetate cels by a special 6-step xerographic process. This Bambi cel, which is coupled with a lithographic pan bkgd, was created in an edition of 500; 3) Mickey & Minnie Mouse, a memorable scene from Disney 1938 animated short, "Brave Little Tailor." After the king offers Mickey Mouse, the town tailor, a reward that includes the hand of his daughter, Minnie, the Princess covers Mickey's face with kisses. The scene is captured in this xerographic-line, limited-edition cel slide, recreated in an edition of 500 with a lithographic background. The image has also been enhanced with hand-inkedlines and airbrush effects; and, 4) Donald & Daisy Duck. It was in the 1940 short, "Mr. Duck Steps Out," that Donald Duck first began his romance with Daisy, shown in this serigraph cel with a very hip, jitterbugging Donald. Serigraph cels recreate images of Disney's famed cast of characters. To produce a sericel, Disney artists create a hand-inked, hand-colored painting or model of Disney characters, which is then transferred--one color at a time -- to the acetate cel by a fine art printing process known as serigraphy. This sericel was created in an edition of 2,500.
